Conquering the global market

Sites all over the world: As early as the 19th century, A.W. Faber opens branches in the major trading centres. This means that the company is always close to the customer and ensures that it can develop its products in line with demand.

A.W. Faber becomes the first German pencil manufacturer with a site in New York in 1849.

Lothar von Faber hands over the management of the branch to his brother Eberhard (seated, 3rd from the right). "Eberhard Faber" will later become a separate brand.

With the branch in Paris founded in 1855, A.W. Faber has a site in the centre of the elegant world.

The branch in Paris founded in 1855 is followed by the company's own business premises on the Boulevard de Strasbourg in 1869.
