(New) Pitt Graphite Matt Pencils

Graphite Pencils without the glare!

Graphite is a standard artistic media with versatile creative capabilities, unlike any other material. While Faber-Castell is proud to provide a selection of graphite options for artists of all skill levels, we are always looking to improve the creative experience of artists everywhere.

Currently, digitising your graphite artwork through photography or scanning will cause reflection caused by traditional glossy graphite pencils, resulting in less loss of detail. With our New Pitt Graphite Matt Pencils, your artwork will appear clearer, with less glare, and marking it darker than before. Pitt Matt is now the new black.

Our newest graphite addition Pitt Graphite Matt Pencils provide the same highest-quality standards as their standard graphite predecessors without the graphite-induced glare. Pitt Graphite Matt Pencils provide an ultra-matte graphite laydown for reduced reflection on paper.

Dedicated to bringing deep dark glare-free graphite to your artwork, Faber-Castell created the world’s first 14th degree of matt lead hardness; dark, soft, matt lead. The creation of lead hardness 14B brings to life a new dimension of monochrome drawing. Pitt Graphite Matte is available in eight degrees of hardness: HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B, 12B, 14B. The greater the number before B, the blacker and softer the lead is. This range of lead degrees offers a differentiated spectrum from medium grey to deep black.

Along with their unmatchable dark tones, Pitt Graphite Matte pencils provide a smooth graphite application ideal for writing, drawing, and sketching that is unique in texture with the highest artist quality. Artists with a passion for monochrome work will find this collection to be especially suitable for their artwork.

Each graphite pencil is created with 3.3mm lead, extra break-resistant SV bonding, and is coated with environmentally friendly water-based varnish. Enjoy Pitt Graphite Matte or learn more about all our high-quality graphite products here.
